Hexsteel or Hexagonal mesh as it often referred to is a honeycomb pattern of steel bars used to retain refractories inanti-abrasive and anti-corrosive thin wall linings used in the oil, petrochemical, metallurgical, chemical, and cement industries.
Since Hexsteel's flexibility allows it to be rolled, it easily conforms to circular shapes. It is ideal for lining Ducts, Furnaces, Reactor Vessels, Cyclones, Flue Gas Lines and other high temperature equipment of virtually any shape or configuration.
Flex Hexsteel
Flex Hexmetal is the direct counterpart of Hex metal. It performs all the same functions in reinforcement of thin wall refractory linings, while its' design allows free form rolling to very small diameters. Hex metal becomes impractical when the section of plant being protected is of small diameter. The free rolling capabilities of Flex metal allows plant as small as 150 mm to be lined. Typical applications include Air Distributors, Cyclone Dip legs, Fan Cases, or any other plants where the practicality of free rolling material is beneficial to maintenance activities.

| Hexsteel: Bonding Hole Type Instead of lance tabs, holes are punched through the walls of the hexmetal cell. Refractory can then flow through these holes to achieve a bond from one cell to another. | Hex-metal: Pronges/Lances Type this style has lance tabs protruding from the walls of the hexagonal cell to act as anchorage for the refractory. |
Application of HESLY Hex mesh:
